OILS

Almond Oil (Prunus dulcet) is an emollient-rich oil that helps reduce swelling, improve your dog’s skin tone, and reduce scarring. It’s good for noses and exposed spots. Rich in vitamins E, A, B1, B6, and D, almond oil is full of plant sterols, omega 9 & 6 fatty acids, calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium.

Aloe and Aloe Butter ( Aloe vera) are antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, bringing down swellings and redness. Aloe Butter is made with coconut oil and aloe, softening skin and enriching it with antioxidants. Both help with sunburn, dryness, crusts, bumps and speed up healing. Rich in vitamin C, E, beta carotene, and proteolytic enzymes, aloe is good for dogs with alopecia, missing hair, and damaged skin.

Apricot Kernel Oil (Prunus armeniaca) helps nourish your dog’s skin by improving tone and doggy wrinkles. It’s antibacterial, antioxidant, antiseptic and helps protect against environmental toxins. A rich, anti-inflammatory oil helping relieve pain, balance dryness, and decrease skin swelling. Apricot kernel is high in vitamins A, B17, C, E, and beta-sitosterols.

Cherry Kernel Oil (Prunus avian) softens dry skin and heals irritations. Nonipup’s cherry kernel is cold pressed for a higher quality oil free from solvents. Cherry kernel oil improves elasticity and helps calm skin trauma. It’s high in antioxidants, vitamins A, E, and alpha, gamma, and delta tocopherols, which help regenerate your dog’s skin making it less susceptible to damage.

Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera) Here at Nonipup, we only use unrefined coconut oil for its antimicrobial benefits. Coconut oil has capris, caprylic and auric acids, protecting the skin from pathogenic microbes. It helps moisturize and prevent moisture loss and decreases inflammation with vitamin E, and soothing fatty acids.

Hemp Oil (Cannabis Sativa) comes from non-psychoactive hemp seeds. It’s high in fatty acids, including linoleic, alpha-linolenic, and GLA. Why are these acids important? Skin! They improve dryness, heal damaged skin, hot spots, and nourish with the help of chlorophyll. Hemp seed has essential amino acids decreasing inflammation and balancing your dog’s natural oils.

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis) is antibacterial, anti-yeast, and high in vitamin E, making it useful in our shampoo base. What we love about Jojoba oil is it helps protect your dog’s skin against irritation, locks in moisture and reduces allergic reactions and flaky skin.

Karanja Oil (Millettia pinnata) has a funny name, but don’t be fooled; it's serious skin care. Antimicrobial, antiseptic, and anti-infective, Karanja helps heal skin infections, hot spots, bug bites, and more. Our cold-pressed oil is rich in antioxidant and UV-blocking flavonoids, making it great for summer. Karanja is good for yeast, bacteria, crusts, itching and scratching, and inflammation.

Mango Butter ( Mangifera indica) is made from the large seeds inside a juicy mango. Like its fruit, Mango seed butter is rich in antioxidants and vitamins E, and C. This combination helps bring down inflammation, heal scars, and protect against oxidation. It excels as an emollient due to its oleic and stearic acid content. Mango butter helps increase cellular replication, which heals skin quickly and calms irritations and inflammation.

Neem Oil (Azadirachta indica)
is stinky goodness that heals quickly. It’s full of carotenoids and other antioxidants. Nonipup’s neem oil is cold-pressed and rich in fatty acids and naturally occurring vitamin E. This helps protect skin against damage, itching, biting, scratching, and licking. Neem is highly anti-inflammatory, coating your dog’s skin with quercetin, calcium, and vitamin E.

Olive Oil (Olea europaea) is a mono-unsaturated oil rich in emollients and highly oisturizing. It reduces inflammation and swelling, helps protect against sun damage, hydrates dryness, and prevents skin oxidation. Olive oil is rich in omega 6 & 9 essential fatty acids, vitamins E and K, and trace minerals.

Pumpkin Seed Oil (Cucurbita maxima) is cold-pressed and rich in essential fatty acids, antioxidants, plant sterols, vitamis C, A, zinc, and other trace minerals. Pumpkin seed oil helps produce collagen and improve skin elasticity. It builds tone and hydrates dry, damaged skin.

Rose Hip Oil (Rosa canine)
is rich in retinoids which help reduce inflammation, soothe dryness, itching, and redness. We use organic rose hips for our oil, cold pressed with love. High in linoleum acid, rosehip oil helps calm irritated skin conditions. Full of antioxidants and fatty acids, Rose hip oil helps protect delicate skin and nourishes it with beta-carotene (A), C, and E.

Shea Butter (Vitellaria paradoxa) is high in vitamins A, E, and essential fatty acids. Shea butter is emollient, moisturizing, protective, and hydrating. Nonipup’s Unrefined Shea Butter is Fair Trade from Ghana. It’s perfect for sensitive skin, dry patches, and roughness. Great for noses!

Tamanu Oil Anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, contains a unique fatty acid called Calophyllic acid (not found in any other oil), a natural non-steroid anti-inflammatory, and a natural antibiotic called Lactone / anti-parasitic / anti-fungal

HERBS

Calendula (Calendula officinalis) brings down inflammation, calms irritation and redness, and heals wounds. It’s perfect for dry, crusty skin and noses! It’s the Boop in our Boop Butter.

Yellow Dock (Rumex crispus) decreases inflammation and relieves itching, scratching, and irritation. It’s high in antioxidants and stimulates detoxification. Naturally astringent, it can alleviate rashes, swelling, yeast, and dermatitis. Great for insect bites.

Echinacea (Echinacea purpea) helps with skin sensitivities, dermatitis, irritation, and fungus. It helps your dog’s skin microbiota and boosts dermal immune function. Echinacea is rich in antioxidants, increases collagen production, and seals in moisture.

Mullein Leaf anti-fungal, antibacterial, antiviral, rich in minerals zinc and selenium, moisturizing, softening, soothing and protecting skin

Pau D’Arco Bark anti-fungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant

ESSENTIAL OILS

Our essential oil blend is synergistic. We use less than 0.32% of safe, highly diluted essential oils and they are not toxic to dogs.

Carrot Seed (Daucus carota) is a woody, warming oil that is antispasmodic, antiseptic, cell regenerative, detoxifying, and wound healing. This oil is highly regenerative.

Cedarwood (Cedars virginiana) has an affinity for the skin and circulatory system. It’s antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, astringent, and decongests the lymph system. It supports skin calming and increases circulation releasing toxins.

Chamomile Essential Oil (Roman) anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antioxidant, skin calming

Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata) helps calm the nervous system and detoxify the skin. It’s antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and insect-repelling.

Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) is earthy, warm, and loves the nervous system and skin. It’s astringent, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, restorative, relaxing, and wound healing.

Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) has an affinity for the hair, skin, nervous system, and lymphatics. It’s anti-inflammatory, astringent, hormone balancing, decongesting, pain relieving, antimicrobial, adaptogenic, and wound healing.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a light floral aroma relaxing your dog’s nervous system. It’s antispasmodic, antidepressant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, sedative, pain relieving, and wound healing. It increases circulation and nourishes tendons, ligaments, and muscles. Lavender is a good insect-repelling essential oil.

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is antibacterial, anti-fungal, antimicrobial, antiinflammatory, and antioxidant. It helps decrease stress and anxiety and repels insects!

Orange (Citrus sinensis) is a cold-pressed essential oil from orange peels. It’s uplifting and fruity, adding joy to anyone who smells it. It helps calm your pup, support the nervous system, and increase lymphatic drainage.

Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) is earthy, calming, and sweet. It’s antibacterial, anti-fungal, antiinflammatory, sedating, astringent, and wound-healing.

Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is an anti-inflammatory essential oil with insect-repelling properties. It helps calm skin and bring down fungal irritations.

Petitgrain (Citrus aurantium) essential oil is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and helps calm problematic skin.

Ylang Ylang (cananga odorata) is a warm, sedating floral essential oil that is antiinflammatory, sedative, tonic, and decreases reactivity. It improves circulation and relaxes the nervous system.

All-Natural Antioxidants / Preservatives

Rosemary Co2 Extract is a Co2 extracted antioxidant serum that helps protect our shampoos against spoilage because they are natural and made without harsh preservatives. It DOES NOT cause seizures in dogs. In addition, Rosemary Co2 extract helps stabilize fatty acids, oils, and essential oils.

Vitamin E oil - Organic vitamin E prevents oxidation and keeps our salves fresh and viable. We use it as a perspective, but it has benefits, too, including hydration, improving elasticity, and reducing inflammation. A bonus is it helps prevent sun damage on your dog’s nose. Sunburn doesn’t last because vitamin E increases cell regeneration.

Candelilla Wax is from a small shrub in the southwestern United States and Mexico. It makes a great vegan wax alternative to industrial bee wax production.
